After investing a LOT of money in laserdiscs, I've been snookered into this DVD thing. Don't even get me going about what'll happen when HDTV is finalized. Grrrr. New batch all over again. Ah well, I can always give the DVD setup to Dad. He's an engineer, so you know he doesn't live on the bleeding edge.

Laser bitrot is starting to eat my LD collection. Grrrrr.

Highlander
I must comment here. The DVD transfer of Highlander SUCKS. Unless I'm off the mark, I bet the studio took their LD master and MPEGed it. It SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. Don't waste your money. My laserdisc LOOKS AND SOUNDS better in Dolby Pro Logic than the DVD in 5.1 mode. What a MAJOR disappointment.
